Abstract
This study was conducted in order to investigate on the bovine tuberculosis and other
mycobacteriosis, if and, of native Korean cattle which has never been made before in
the field of public health and veterinary medicine.
As a result of this study, the following conculusions were made:
(1) Various species of mycobacteria were isolated from 25(16.7%) out of 150
tracheobronchial lymphnodes of native Korean Cattle slaughtered.
(2) Twenty-five isolates were grouped according to Runyon's schema; one strain or
4.0% was photochromogen, three or 12.0% were scotochromogens, sixteen or 64.0% were
nonphotochromogens and five or 20.0% were rapid growers. One Strain of
photochromogen was identified as Mycobacterium marinum. One strain of
scotochromogens was identified as M. scrofulaceum and two as M. gordonae.
Sixteen strains of nonphotochromogens were sub-grouped into thirteen strains of
Battey-avium and three strains of M. terrae complex.
Two strains of rapid growere identified as M. smegmatis, two as M.diernhoferi and one
as M. fortuitum.
